4 Understanding Cryptocurrency
What is Cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrency is a digital form of money that exists on decentralized computer networks called blockchains. Unlike traditional currencies (USD, EUR) controlled by governments, cryptocurrencies are managed by software protocols and community consensus.
Key Characteristics
- Decentralized: No single entity (bank or government) controls it
- Digital-Only: Exists purely as data on blockchain networks
- 24/7 Trading: Markets never close — trade any time, any day
- Global: Can be transferred anywhere in the world instantly
- Volatile: Prices can change dramatically in short periods

Stablecoins vs Volatile Coins
Stablecoins (USDT, USDC) maintain a fixed $1.00 value. They are designed for stability and are ideal for preserving value during market turbulence.
Volatile Coins (BTC, ETH, SOL) can change price by 2-10% daily. These offer the greatest profit potential but also the highest risk.
5 Market Mechanics
How Crypto Prices Move
Cryptocurrency prices are determined by supply and demand on exchanges. When more people want to buy than sell, prices go up. When more people want to sell than buy, prices go down.
Factors That Affect Price
- News & Events: Regulatory announcements, exchange hacks, ETF approvals
- Market Sentiment: Fear and greed drive buying and selling behavior
- Whale Activity: Large holders moving millions can shift prices
- Technical Factors: Support/resistance levels, trading volume
- Macro Economics: Interest rates, inflation, stock market performance
Reading Price Changes
On our platform, you see three key numbers for any cryptocurrency:
| Metric | What It Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Current Price | The live price right now | $67,234.56 |
| 24h Change | Percentage change in last 24 hours | +2.34% (green) or -1.23% (red) |
| Rank | Market cap ranking among all cryptos | #1 = Bitcoin (largest) |
Understanding UP/DOWN on Our Platform
When you place a trade, the platform captures the current price as your "entry price." After 30 seconds, it compares the final price to your entry price:
Entry Price: $67,000 | Final Price: $67,100
Result: WIN (price went up)
Payout: $100 bet returns $180 ($80 profit)
Entry Price: $67,000 | Final Price: $67,100
Result: LOSS (you predicted down, but it went up)
Loss: $100 stake deducted from balance
Why 30 Seconds?
The 30-second window creates fast-paced trading opportunities. In 30 seconds, cryptocurrency prices typically move 0.01% to 0.5%, providing consistent trading action without the long wait times of traditional trading.
